Bibi F Asmahiel

I am an Uzbek and Ukrainian, Dutch-born artist, born on November 30 1997, going by the name: Bibi. Coventry has been my hometown since age eight, and from September 2018 I spent one year in Bologna, Italy, with Erasmus+. There, was a buzzing vibrancy and soul I wish to emulate.

I want to be part of the art industry and community in study, practice, and work. From A-level stage, a spark of curiosity fuelled determination to take teachings to heart, and become serious about art.

My practice is a chromatic and linear study of the soul. It explores chromatology and other art theory; historical and contemporary contexts; sociology; environmental studies; philosophy; semantics, and semiotics, consciousness and states of mind, as well as the in-depth study of oil painting, drawing, and their respective technique. As a scenic artist for theatre, too, working has taught me exciting manners of representation and ways to creating effects.

My plan involves many facets of fine art. I will be working as a freelancer, and also wish to team up with others. In regards to what kind of message I will carry, I aim to work with awareness and consciousness to the best of my ab
