The core aim of this project is to explore and draw information based on my personal experiences as an Indian child born to immigrant parents in Oman, without a fixed sense of belonging and cultural identity. This devoid sense of permanence attached to a place is a feeling that many can resonate with and this work targets a wide range of people – immigrant children, children born to immigrant parents, people who lack a fixed sense of cultural identity and those who cannot identify with one place as ‘Home’. People who flee from war, people who settle abroad in search of better living prospects and so on have been part of this community that nurtures the feeling of not being able to associate with a single place as ‘Home’ or have struggled to cope with the reactions they faced when freely expressing their cultural identities.
