I am a creative designer who thrives on challenges and consistently delivers projects within demanding time. My key focus as a designer modest womenswear. I am a committed and positive practitioner with an ability to realise ideas through strong garment construction skills. In addition, I am multilingual, adaptable and have the ability to communicate with others at all levels creating a good working environment.

With my passion for a fashion career developing, I moved to England 4 years ago to pursue my goal. From a young age, I was exposed to two completely different cultures, spending time living in Finland and Somalia. Hence, the word ‘nomad’ is the best way to describe me.

‘The New Nomads’ is a collection inspired by the Nomads living in Somalia. Known for some of the most ancient lifestyles, I have researched and explored the distinct aesthetic and culture of East Africa. My collection is a reflection of the traditional Nomadic clothes of East Africa, fused and even clashed with undertones of utility and futurism. I have experimented with asymmetry, gathering and draping techniques to create a handmade collection for New Nomads like me.
