Hello, my name is Alastair, and I am a student from Hull. Over the course of my studies I have persevered in taking on the values of my peers, so that I may grow creatively and personally as an individual. I am always eager to expand upon my knowledge of the design industry in order to develop new skills and become increasingly versatile in my abilities.

Mieli - A collection of sustainable hygiene products taking steps towards achieving a zero-waste bathroom. All products are plastic free, and every component is designed to either be recycled or composted, to help with the preservation of key resources and to tackle the crisis of single use hygiene products and their negative impact on the environment.

The products are part of a subscription service where the replaceable features are renewed every 3 months to minimise waste. The project also incorporates neutral design principals, with an emphasis on materials, form, and aesthetics. The range includes a deodorant canister with a biodegradable capsule, a toothbrush with a biodegradable head, a razor with a recyclable blade and a compact travel case to take all these products with you on the go.
