Ian Monterola

Hi, my name is Ian Monterola, and for 4 years I have been studying design at Coventry University. I have always had a keen interest in design and would describe myself a very creative person, who aspires to be innovative. I have grown so much since studying design, being able to see things in different perspectives, which has resulted in the development of my own style and interests that influence my work. I am also fortunate enough to have interned for 9 months at a design consultancy in Italy: EMO Design, where I learned, first-hand, the fast-paced world of real industrial design.

I present to you my final year project; V I T A, an indoor vertical garden. The aim of this product is to give everyone the opportunity to reconnect with nature regardless of their living situation, allowing you to bring life and nourishment into your home. With Vita’s modular design, you control how you expand and layout your vertical garden in ways that suits you and your home best. Its design also allows it to blend within most indoor settings to create a natural yet modern aesthetic.
