For my Final-year project, I raised the issue surrounding the volume of sun cream pollution in the ocean. I sought out to reduce the negative impact associated with sun cream’s nanoparticles, which disrupts coral reproduction, growth, contributing to coral bleaching.
The Sol Pontoon is a practical and well-designed response to this issue and is intended to be invested in by beachside institutions. Sol Pontoon is made from recycled HDPE and requires limited upkeep. It floats in the ocean and removes excess levels of sun cream with the assistance of nanotechnology, found within nano paper.
Sol Pontoon gives back to the environment so guests can continue to enjoy nature’s beauty, on a safe and secure platform, knowing they are supporting the ocean that is supporting them.
I am a hardworking and creative individual who possesses exceptional communication and artistic talent. My communication skills enable me to liaise with colleagues and clients seamlessly, as well as assist with ideation, innovation and collaboration. Creatively, I have exceptional attention to detail, and am highly adaptable when dealing with deadlines. Overall, I have a genuine passion for design – especially the challenges that it presents. I find great satisfaction solving problems and formulating solutions.
