An expedition yacht for the year 2030 with the main region of travel being remote areas of Asia Pacific, such as the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia and Kamchatka. It also aims to provide a smooth blend of luxury and eco-friendly lifestyle without compromise.
The owner of such a vessel would be an UHNWI between the age of 30-35. To fulfill their need for a cleaner lifestyle the yacht will house a number of researchers that will work onboard, improving the general understanding of the environment in these remote locations. This can also be applied to more traveled regions such as the Gulf of Thailand, where research can be used to improve the understanding of plastic pollution in the region.
The design features an extensive waste mangement system (waste will be used to generate energy), and uses locally-sourced materials within the interior to reduce carbon emissions created in the build of the yacht. It also has a zero-emissions Hydrogen power supply that is at the heart of the expedition yacht.
