Min Joon Jang

Born in 1997 and from South Korea, I started my studies in the UK in early 2016. Currently completed the 4-year undergraduate course at Coventry University 'Automotive & Transport Design'. During which I had a highly memorable experience as a product design intern at Dickie Toys in Hong Kong in the summer of 2019. My main interest in my design studies is about concept development and exterior design followed by a lot of interest in applying stories that can be illustrated as unique form factors and functions. My final major project was a bold attempt to advance this.

The project "HyPERNIGHT" is a 6-hour endurance race series in Far East Asia in the year of 2035. Featuring retro inspired race machines with hydrogen fuelled ICE engines, and every spot of the megacity with flashy, speedy neon lights are racetracks for them. This is what I could imagine when the motorsport industry of near future prohibits the use of fossil fuel yet keeps the enthusiastic heat and powerfulness that can be found in traditional races.
