Hello, my name's Rebecca Folwell and I welcome the opportunity where I can continue to learn and grow my skills in the Architectural and Design environment. I am an energetic person who strives to bring flair and personality to my designs while having a clear perspective on required briefs.
My Final Major Project is a Fitness and Wellness Centre for Women called ‘Camp No Mansland’ which has been designed to encourage women’s fitness and wellness tourism. The client will be a fitness company who are in need of a wellness centre to support up to 12 women in their 2-5 day programme.
Anstey Hall Barns are the chosen buildings. They are a collection of historic barns where each barn will be connected through glass corridors to act as one building. The concept will involve a journey to empowerment, where each barn represents an activity that reflects the stage at which the women will be at, to feeling empowered.
When designing the interior biomimicry, biophilic and active design concepts will be incorporated. Similar materials will be used to restore the barn's historic value however a modern take will be contrasted throughout the design of the interior to reflect its modern purpos
