A passionate student of the arts and design, with an interest in street photography, I enjoy exploring the depths of architecture through visual illustrations of storytelling and how it affects our everyday lives. 

Despite being one of the most historically rich parts of Birmingham, there has been a slow decline in condition of the Jewellery Quarter, with empty land and derelict buildings appearing more frequently, making it an uncomfortable area for people.

The Royal Birmingham Society of Arts and the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter require a design that aims to rejuvenate the Jewellery Quarter by providing outlets for the arts community to express their creative talents for showcase.

The proposal aims to tackle the issues of dereliction by creating a community through the education of the history of the area and to promote the coming together of local artists and residents. By introducing designated courtyard spaces that integrates the building through showcases of art and design and merging with urban strategies, the building becomes an integral part of the community but also a key staple to the Jewellery Quarter.
