About me: I believe that the key factors that lead to great design are understanding the context and constantly exploring the world in order to enrich the perception of architecture. In my free time I devote myself to the other passion which is taking photographs of architecture. I treat photography as a tool to rediscover architecture and to be able to see its nuances that later inspire me in new projects.
About the project: Inspired by the history of Jewellery Quarter, the project aims to liven up this area by restoring jewellery related activities and adding more arts and crafts in order to encourage people to explore this forgotten city district and support local artists. The proposed building can be treated as a socialising spot in Birmingham, where people can create a community. In addition, the building has been designed in such a way that the visitors’ journey starts and ends wherever and whenever they want. The desire to explore is the major factor in encouraging the visitors to see, participate and engage more.
