About Me
I am a highly motivated, conscientious, polite, sociable person who loves to try out new challenges. I personally set goals for myself in order to have the best qualities for the job and to enhance my qualities as a person. I'm great at grasping new concepts, skills and adapting to new surroundings. I enjoy helping others and I'm great at receiving constructive criticism to help better my techniques and performance.
The Project
For my final year project, I designed a theatre that will allow people to congregate and celebrate the history of Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham with a musical stage presence.
In doing so a creative space was developed that collaborates with a nearby music school, providing further opportunities for the students. The facilities provided for the students are recording studios, dance studios and a music room. Overall, the site is a creative hub that stimulates its visitors’ senses through sight, touch, hearing and taste with instruments, vocals, performance and a cafe. The building’s facade and canopy are a key element that influence the way in which natural light is welcomed into the building with beautiful results.
