David Clarke

Hi, I am David and I am a 3D Animator. I love bringing interesting characters and stories to life through animation. There is nothing I enjoy more than developing my animation practice and using these skills to produce work that people can enjoy. I work mainly in Autodesk Maya, but I also do video editing in Premiere Pro. My dream one day is to be working in an animation studio where I can continue to develop my skills and release my creativity. 

My most recent animated short is called ‘The Cherry on Top’. My aim here was to give myself something challenging to animate, whilst also creating something humorous for people to enjoy. I wanted to push myself technically by choreographing a sequence with many interactions between the two characters and objects in the environment. I tried hard to use timing, anticipation and staging, as well as other animation principles to help develop my animation ability and make this piece of work the best it could be.
