Rowena Cutting

Hello, I am Rowena! In my artwork I take inspiration from colour and pattern to create playful designs and illustrations, utilising a range of materials from watercolour, collage and digital art to the occasional foray into metal work. 

The ‘Music of Nature,’ is my final project which, using a combination of illustration and sound, I highlight the beauty of nature and conversely how climate change is irrevocably altering it. 

Although COVID-19 prevented me from creating my desired physical installation, my illustrations combine to create a book that depicts imagery of how climate change is irrevocably altering the face of our planet. This works alongside an audio track, designed to create discomfort, warping the sound of the images illustrated.
