Emma Coxon
BA (Hons) Fine Art
"Emma Frances Coxon (b.1999, Coventry) is a mixed media artist exploring the ideas around the human relationships we have with our ‘home’ and the significant objects found within, currently studying/working in Coventry, UK.
She is interested in working with a strange range of materials found around the home, creating paintings, photography, sculpture and small installations that evoke senses of memory, childhood and loss, whilst bringing to light the commonly overlooked. Her current research revolves around philosophers and artists who work with the ideas concerning the domestic such as Gaston Bachelard, Imogen Racz and artist Cathy Wilkes.
With the viewers’ personal experience of the home, Coxon intends for them to engage with the work, correlating her memory to their own."
